The following letter was sent to the President today. I cannot go into any significant details now, but the situation in Venezuela is currently very serious. When the opposing demonstrations are being held againstDictator Nicolas Maduro, the streets of the nation’s capital are filled with crowds of people as far as can be seen. Interim President Juan Guaido desperately needs our support at this time when so many people are starving in that Socialist-Marxist nation without freedom. So find out more about Juan Guaido who is a 35-year-old leader and patriot in his country because time is now very crucial for him and his own family’s survival.JWS

RE: PROVIDING VENEZUELA ACCESS TO HUMANITARIAN AID FROM OTHERS

Dear Mr. President:

Perhaps rather than deploying 50,000 U.S. Troops to Venezuela, it might prove to be far more effective ifWashington were to assist with providing their starving people with access now to humanitarian aid that has been kept from them in Brazil, Colombia, and on an offshore island in the Caribbean Sea due to DictatorNicolas Maduro not allowing food and medical supplies into that Socialist-Marxist nation.

At Cucuta in Colombia near the border with Venezuela, there are stockpiles of humanitarian aid, which includes food and medical supplies, from many countries in Europe and also Latin America that is not being allowed to reach the starving Venezuelans. Perhaps additional aid by another means such as air and sea directly from the United States could reach the poor people in Venezuela. Although this situation is desperate, such operations would require calculated risks so additional back-up support from U.S. and other military forces is necessary for security.

In the meantime, security for interim Venezuelan President Juan Guaido and his family must be given highest priority due to current threats from Dictator Nicolas Maduro and Maikel Moreno who is President of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice of Venezuela and also a convicted felon who murdered 19-year-old Ruben Gil Marques as well as being accused of involvement in another murder. Moreno is also sanctioned bySwitzerland due to human rights violations. JWS
