Dear Mr. President:

Although from my perspective, perhaps, the most remarkable time in America’s history since President John F. Kennedy faced the Cuban Missile Crisis with courage and wisdom was how well you managed the recent summit in Singapore on June 12, 2018 with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. However, your remarkable accomplishment was hardly even acknowledged by any of the most recent network news programs on Sunday. Instead, the “separation” of illegal entry children from their alleged mothers and guardians became the main topics for this week.

Most Americans are still unaware that human trafficking is a far more profitable crime than even drug smuggling into the United States. Many of these innocent children from Latin America are abducted or kidnapped from their real parents and families while some are also smuggled into the U.S. by “coyotes” who may later actually sell even young infants to become sex slaves or for body parts at a diabolical medical market.

While it is my opinion that “separations” should be discontinued, DNA tests and close scrutiny must continue. We must recall that most African-Americans who were slaves had been separated instantaneously from their mothers as soon as they were born without any real family structure. I am also aware of how the Nazis had assured many German-speaking families that they would be willing to take good care of their children with disabilities only to later euthanize them. As fine as any government institution may appear to be, just recall the Veterans Administration (VA).
