RE: DISINFORMATION ON KOREAN AIR LINES FLIGHT 007 IN PRINT

In 1983, the Soviet Union was then involved in another clandestine military program that was attempting to, once again, destroy the United States with Intermediate-Range Ballistic Nuclear Missiles being deployed to the Western Hemisphere and launched from fully-integrated mobile systems after giant Russian air transports would be able to land at the mile-long airfield at Punta Huete in Nicaragua. So during that time, security was very tight in the USSR. Vladivostok was a naval port in Russia’s Far East that was involved in the Pacific area, which would include earlier logistic shipments to Corinto andGolfo de Fonseco along Nicaragua’s west coast.

U.S. Senator Jesse Helms was scheduled to board Korean Air Lines Flight 007 in New York, but his plans were changed at the last moment. He was Chairman of the U.S. Subcommittee on Latin America.

I am reminded of a political scientist in Scotland who, very shortly after KAL Flight 007, had claimed that the Boeing 747 was on a spy mission. Later, Oliver Edmund Clubb, Jr, PhD wrote a book titled KAL FLIGHT 007: The Hidden Story, published in 1985, had also reached the same conclusion. He was unaware that all 269 crew and passengers had survived the shooting only to be captured by the KBG and placed in the Gulag. Later, he believed strongly in Climate Change.

Dr. Clubb was an old China Hand after World War II, but his information about KAL Flight 007 was rather limited even though he was a professor at Syracuse University.
